Welcome fellow Shadow Warriors and alumni of the 112th Signal Battalion (Special Operations)(Airborne)!

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the 112th Signal Battalion (SO)(A), and the Shadow Warrior Association is celebrating in style. This year Shadow Week will take place 21-25 March, and there are a number of events that are open to our members. You can find more information at the Shadow Week 2011 tab.

Specifically, we would like ensure that you know about the following events:

Monday: The 2nd annual SWA golf tournament kicks off at 1100.  If you are interested in participating, please download and fill out a golf tournament registration form on the important documents page. If you have any questions please contact SFC Evans at evansw@soc.mil.

Wednesday & Thursday:  The Annual SWA Technology Expo will take place on Wednesday (0900-1600) and Thursday (0900-1500) at the Fort Bragg Club in the Lafayette Room.  The expo is free and open to the public and all are welcome to attend.  If you are interested in seeing a list of those vendors that will be participating, check out the Tech Expo, Participating Vendors section of our website.

Building Dedication: Please join the Battalion as the dedication ceremony for the new Battalion headquarters. The SWA will present the Battalion with the painting of the 25th anniversary commemorative print during the ceremoney. The ceremony will begin at 1300 on Thursday at the new headquarters located at the Battalion motor pool on Canopy Lane, between Yadkin Rd. and Gruber St.  Reception to follow the ceremony.

SWA Social:  Also taking place on Thursday evening is the annual SWA Social.  This year the social will take place at the Hilltop House (1240 Fort Bragg Road, Fayetteville, NC 28305) at 1830. Additionally, we will hold our annual members meeting at 1730. We would like to get as many members as possible involved in discussing the future of the Shadow Warrior Association.  Specifically, we are looking for members that are willing to step up as members of the board. Please direct all questions to swa.expo@gmail.com.

We need to provide numbers as accurately as possible to the restaurant so they can prepare. Therefore, if you know ahead of time that you are planning to attend, please send an email to swa.expo@gmail.com with your name and what you would like for dinner. If you don't know until the last minute, still join us! We look forward to seeing you!

Dinner options include:

• 10 oz Ribeye: 10 oz. fully aged certified angus beef ribeye steak crowned with garlic herb butter. Served with seasoned mashed potatoes and our Chef's seasonal vegetable selection.

• Chicken Marsala: Seasoned, roasted chicken breast draped with espagnole sauce, sauteed seasonal mushrooms and a hint of marsala wine. Presented upon a bed of hilltop mashed potatoes and accompanied by seasonal vegetables.

• Atlantic Salmon: 6 oz. atlantic salmon filet, pan seared and presented with risotto and fresh tender asparagus. Accented with lemon beurre blanc.

The cost per person is $24.95 plus tax and gratuity.
